The following information is provided to assist you in setting up your alpha text messaging software or Alpha-mate.

The MAXIMUM alpha dial-up system uses TAP ( Telocator Alphanumeric Paging) Protocol. This is a standard protocol utilized by paging companies.

• COLUMBUS: (614) 228-7811

NOTES: Typically, the dash between the numbers should not be entered into the software / Alpha-mate.

Baud Rate:	1200 or 300
Data Format:	7, 1, EVEN
Password:	none required
Characters Allowed:	240
Pin:	7 Digit pager number

Typically the software will automatically set up and test your PC's modem for the data format. Just enter the default telephone number (modem number), maximum baud rate permissible, and the total number of characters allowed

Please send a test page before entering all your users. If you have problems connecting, please review your setup parameters and call MAXIMUM or the software vendor's technical assistance number provided with your software.
